Jackrabbit rodeo kicked off the ground

Day one of the Jackrabbit Stampede Rodeo is over, and currently two athletes mark high on the boards.

Sophomore Calder Johnston and junior Emily Edleman are leading the way in their events. Johnston leads tie down roping with a time of 10.7 seconds, and Edleman leads barrel racing with a time of 13.67.

The rodeo is a double-header rodeo with two, two-day contests. April 13 wraps up the first header with contests at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. The next is at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. April 14 and 1 p.m. April 15.
