Juice kicked to the curb

It is time to say goodbye to the Juice section of The Collegian and say hello to the new and improved Lifestyles section.

This brand new section will cover and feature the same types of things as before, just with a new design, new name and a new attitude.

Everybody at The Collegian agreed it was time for a change for our dear Juice section. Not many understood what the Juice section entailed and what it exactly was. We decided that something needed to be done. We needed to breathe some life into the Juice section. After much deliberation, we came up with the new section title Lifestyles and everything jumpstarted from there.

Lifestyles will feature anything and everything that students enjoy. Anywhere from music, movies, books, fashion, culture and entertainment in general could be covered.

This section of the paper is being revamped and will feature a new style. It will appear more magazine-like and become more attractive to all readers.

Other changes for the Lifestyles section include the new editor, Sara. The beautiful and talented editor has big plans for the section. Her commitment is one to be admired. She is very approachable (And did I mention beautiful?) and would love to hear what people have to say about the new section and any constructive criticism to be given. Just don’t spell her name wrong. It is Sara without an ‘H,’ because ‘H’s’ are eww. And don’t forget it.

Sara has big plans for the section. She has a Twitter account that everyone should follow to stay updated with the new section. It is @collegianlife. She hopes to tweet at least twice a week for starters. In the future, if all goes well, the Collegian Lifestyles section may spread its wings in the social network and possibly gain an Instagram account as well.

So far, the section is going well. There will be a weekly health column provided along with several other new features. There will be a weekly recipe. Some other possible recipe-type articles are in the works, so stay tuned for something new there.

If things go really well, there is a possibility for a blog, but no promises there. Sara would like it to be clear that she has a life outside of The Lifestyles section and The Collegian and she does not want to be working endless hours when she could be watching Netflix. Oh sorry, I mean studying.

All in all, there a big things to happen with the Lifestyles section.

And in case you didn’t figure it out yet, I am Sara. I truly hope everyone enjoys the new Lifestyles section. I know I’m ready to get this semester started and see where everything goes.
