SDSU wraps up Ram Masters Invitational

FORT COLLINS, COLO.—Sophomore Grant Smith is tied for 58th and the Jackrabbits finished 15th Tuesday at the Ram Masters Invitational.

SDSU shot a three-round 946 (324-318-304) for 54 holes. Colorado State won the 15-team field, shooting an 855 (283-287-285) at the 7,121-yard par-70 Fort Collins Country Club.

Smith (Des Moines, Iowa) shot a two-over par 72 in the final round to finish with a 229 (80-77-72). Junior Dylan Baker (Eden Prairie, Minn.) also shot a 72, tying for 74th (84-81-72).

Sophomore Ian Rinken (Sioux Falls) finished tied for 78th (77-81-82=240), freshman Zach Sackett (Winnipeg, Manitoba) was 80th (84-79-78=241) and sophomore Guillermo Gonzalez (Merida, Yucatan) 84th (83-85-83=251).

South Dakota State returns to action Sept. 22-23 when it hosts the Jackrabbit Fall Invitational at the Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls.
