The culminating Common Read event takes place Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 7  p.m. in the Performing Arts Center.

The speaker for the Griffith Honors Forum Lecture is Kevin Breel, author of “Boy Meets Depression.”

The Common Read book for this year was Breel’s first book. It outlined his life and experiences throughout his childhood. Breel is a writer, comedian and social activist.

Throughout the fall semester, events for the Common Read have centered on mental illness. Past events included presentations by the National Alliance on Mental Illness, various panel discussions and an interactive session on journaling.

The Hunger Banquet will be the final event in the Common Read series. The banquet will be Nov. 1 at 7 p.m. in The Union. Students can purchase tickets for $2 in the Honors College office.

Tickets are free for the lecture, and the doors open at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
