Another South Dakota State Jackrabbit didn’t survive the round of 53-man cuts in the National Football League this week.

Earlier on Saturday, Sept. 1, the Dallas Cowboys announced they had cut former Jackrabbit center, Jacob Ohnesorge.

Despite the cut, Ohnesorge still has a chance to make the practice squad for the Cowboys.

In August, Ohnesorge inked a three-year deal with the Cowboys.

Travis Frederick, the starting center for the Cowboys was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome in August, which led to the acquisition of Ohnesorge. The Cowboys had not made a roster decision on Frederick before the roster cuts.

Ohnesorge started in the final preseason game against the Houston Texans.
