Student receives minor injuries in motorcycle accident on campus

A motorcycle accident occurred at 2:57 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 outside of Hilton M. Briggs Library. 

The incident involved SDSU student Spencer Maeschem, who sustained minor injuries to the arm and torso. 

According to Maeschem, “the tire kicked out” while he attempted to shift to a lower gear. This can occur when the clutch is not engaged correctly during shifting.

University Police declined to comment on the incident. 

The incident is currently under investigation.
