Students will be ditching the Tapingo app this fall semester.

The change comes from GrubHub’s purchase of the application. According to an email sent by Doug Wermedal, associate vice president for Student Affairs, the functionality of the application won’t change.

“Users will still be able to preorder on-campus food and prepay with their flex dollars or credit card,” Wermedal said.

While the functionality of the application won’t change, users will need to download the app by September 1.

“In order to continue preordering food and prepaying from your device, users will need to download the GrubHub app and link to South Dakota State University,” the email said.
