Well, that was quick.

In just a few hours, South Dakota State went from under the reigns of T.J. Otzelberger to then-assistant coach Eric Henderson.

Henderson had previously served as the Jackrabbit assistant coach for three years.

It’ll be Henderson’s first collegiate coaching job. Previously Henderson had served as an assistant at Wayne State and North Dakota State.

“It is an honor to be selected as the next head coach at South Dakota State and to continue to work with an exceptional group of student-athletes, coaches and administrators who have high expectations,” Henderson told www.gojacks.com “Through our hard work, we will make Jackrabbit Nation proud of the product on the floor, performance in the classroom and the impact we can make in the community.”

South Dakota State also promoted Rob Klinkefus to associate head coach.

Henderson is the 22nd head coach for the Jackrabbit men’s basketball program.
