There is a new business in town sure to warm you up. The Lodge Espresso and Coffee Shop, located at 408 5th Street opened for business Feb. 4. A second location will open in the future with a drive up location.

The business is owned by long-time Brookings resident Jeanne Stuefen.

“I’ve wanted to do this for a some time and think the people will appreciate what we have to offer. This is the first one in the area and we plan on expanding to meet the demand as it increases. People really want a great cup of coffee and that’s what we do,” Stuefen said.

“Gourmet coffee is sweeping the country and if we can bring convenience and a great coffee in one shot, it will be great,” Stuefen said.

The menu at The Lodge is extensive and has something for everyone.

The Lodge has walk-in, delivery and drive-up as well.

Smoothies, lattes and countless blends to choose from. The Lodge will also offer fresh caramel rolls and bagels from Bagel Works.

Customer punch cards, prepaid cards and a coffee club that includes a travel mug for frequent customers.

Free samples, drink of the day specials and coffee tests will all be available.
