The rivalry between SDSU and the University of South Dakota has been renewed.

According to the Argus Leader‘s Web site, USD will hold a press conference at 2 p.m. on April 15 to announce its admission to the Summit League. The school will officially be part of SDSU’s conference beginning July 1, 2011.

USD announced in 2006 that it would become a Division I school. SDSU announced its move to Division I in 2002, and it was officially admitted to the Summit League on July 1, 2007.
