SDSU has set a record for enrollment for the 10th consecutive year.

Fall 2009 enrollment hit the 12,376-student mark. That number includes 2,135 new freshmen and 1,445 graduate students.

Marysz Rames, vice president for student affairs, attributed the growth to recruiting freshman students, increasing graduate education and retention efforts.

“On the undergraduate side, we’ve worked hard as part of our strategic planning to increase retention and ultimately the graduation rate of our students, and we know this result is due to those efforts,” she said.
