SDSU’s Prairie Repertory Theatre will give an encore presentation of its production, “Leaving Iowa,” in Doner Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 8 and Sept. 9.

The story revolves around reliving family vacation traveling. The main character is a middle-aged writer, played by Zach Swanson, of Oldham, who returns home to Iowa to find a resting place for his father’s ashes. His trip across Iowa brings back memories of tortuous vacations with his father as he encounters changes in memorable landmarks. The plot progresses through reconciling his past with his present and offers connections for anyone who has ever been part of a family vacation.

The Chicago Sun-Times calls the play “Simultaneously hilarious, touching and highly recommended.”

Tickets are available by calling the Audience Service Office at 605-688-6045, online at www.prairierep.org, or by visiting the Performing Arts Center on the SDSU campus Tuesday through Thursday, Sept. 7 &- 9, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
