staff

A town-hall meeting has been scheduled Jan. 20 to outline available information from Gov. Dennis Daugaard’s budget address and how the proposals may affect South Dakota State University, the Agricultural Experiment Station and the Cooperative Extension Service.

The meeting is scheduled at 4 p.m. in Ag Engineering 100.

The governor’s proposal will be the next step in a two-month process of determining state appropriations for the 2012 fiscal year.

The meeting will be informational in nature, based on material available from the governor’s office. The impact on the university, AES and CES will be determined after the final budget bill for FY12 is signed into law.
