My name is Stephen C. Basso,34, residing in Boca Raton, Florida. I wanted to introduce myself and get your advice. My background, I was raised in New Jersey and attended Boston University on a football scholarship (1988-1992) then on to the U.S. Army where I earned my Masters Degree in counselling psychology. I was injured in the military and became disabled. I spent years in surguries, rehabs, recovering, etc…I moved to Florida in 1998 and have lived here since, I married a lovely lady from Brazil in 2000 and we are very happy. I have been involved in counselling and helping others since arriving. I always had a deep secret though….

I was adopted in 1969 by my loving and caring parents who reside in Vero Beach, Florida. I recently was contacted by my biological mother and a lot of healing has gone on, she happens to live in Sarasota, Florida coincidently. She did get brutually honest with me though and I appreciated that. She went to Hollywood at age 19 to be an actress, met a now famous television star of the 70’s and today, became pregnant (unwanted) and tried to abort me unsuccessfully twice. Finally faced a trip to Mexico where they were going to abort me with knitting needles, she returned to New York and tried to keep me for a month before giving me up for adoption. Scary to hear that I almost never was, seeing my biological on fans sites on the internet made me dizzy, I wondered how people got my photos. I now know why people always seem to think they know me in public places like airports and malls, now I know. More importantly, I am most proud of the lives I have touched and helped. I would like to continue to do so by public speaking and working with groups commited to pro-adoption. I was nervous to share my story as my biological father does not know I exist and thought I was aborted in 1968, well I wasn’t (Born February 12,1969) and I can’t live my life worrying about his image or life anymore. If you are interested in helping me to help others, let me know, [email protected] or #1-561-852-5929 Thanks Steve Basso
