The Students’ Association approved the constitution for the Film Club at its Dec. 6 meeting.

Jason Fuccello, the club’s president, said the club will host showings of cultural films that students wouldn’t be able to see anywhere else.

“We want to bring films that you can’t go rent,” he said.

The club currently has 10 to 15 members and is planning on showing films next semester, though no dates have been set.

SA President Amanda Mattingly said that senators will be passing around petitions about a student health insurance plan that the Board of Regents wants to install in all six state universities. Mattingly said students should talk to an SA senator to sign the petition or for more information.

SA approved this year’s budget for the Rodeo Club at the senate’s Nov. 29 meeting. The club asked for the same amount of money as last year, $13,000. The money is used for the Jackrabbit Stampede that the club organizes every spring.

SA also approved the budget for the Native American Club at the Nov. 29 meeting. The group requested $7,575, which is a two percent increase from last year. The money will be spent on the powwow the group sponsors in February.
