The Jackrabbit golf teams defeated North Dakota State University to claim the second-ever Dakota Cup. Last year, NDSU won the inaugural Dakota Cup, but SDSU claimed victory this year.

The Dakota Cup is a men’s-and-women’s combined, match-play tournament. On Saturday afternoon, the men and women paired up for seven matches. A man and woman from each school partnered up to face each other. SDSU held a 4-3 lead heading into Sunday.

Fourteen individual matches took place Sunday afternoon. The men played eight matches, while the women played six. The Lady Jacks won four of their six matches, and the men split their eight matches with the Bison. Overall, the Jacks defeated the Bison, 12-9.

Ryan Trasamar was the only guy to go undefeated for the Jacks. He won both his partner match and his individual match. Three Lady Jacks, Amanda Rosol, Dallas Willman and Holly Opatz, won both matches.
