CHEYENNE, WYO. – The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is offering its game warden exam at South Dakota State University Oct. 6. Interested applicants must register by Oct. 1.

To qualify for the exam, applicants must have earned a bachelor’s degree in a wildlife-related field or be on track to earn the degree by Dec. 31, 2012, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Interested individuals must submit a request to take the 2012 Game Warden Exam form and a copy of their college transcripts prior to the registration deadline, which is generally four days prior to the test deadline.

Applicants who pass the written exam are then interviewed and required to complete a psychological assessment, polygraph and a job suitability profile. Individuals who successfully complete the process will be placed on a list from which game warden positions are selected.

For the specific dates and times the exam will be conducted or for more information, call (307)777-4585 or email [email protected].

The exam is also being offered at 14 other universities across the West and Midwest this fall and at Game and Fish offices across Wyoming.
