Club to host World Suicide Prevention Day this Thursday

Sara Bertsch Editor-in-Chief

In order to bring attention to Suicide Prevention Week, the Lost and Found club on campus is hosting World Suicide Prevention Day.

This event will take place all day Sept. 10. The club sets up flags to represent college students in the United States lost to suicide.

According to Mollie Hublou, president of Lost and Found, they do this in order to raise awareness about suicide among SDSU students. The flags will be set up on the west side of The Union facing Wagner Hall.

The club, which is dedicated to bringing awareness to suicide and prevention efforts, hosts a number of activities on campus. In the spring semester, the club will host a 5-K April 16.

Anybody who would like to get involved can join the group at their meeting in two weeks. A date and location will be given out as soon as possible.

The group meets every other week. Like the group’s Facebook page for more information.
