What you need to know before buying your Luke Bryan tickets

Students

An exclusive pre-sale for SDSU students will open up tomorrow at 8 a.m. for the opening concert of the Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium. It features Luke Bryan, Little Big Town and Lee Brice

A total of 8,000 tickets have been set-aside for current and incoming students, according to Leon Costello, the deputy director of athletics.

Tickets will be sold on a first-come-first-serve basis. A code was sent out via email on Thursday to all current students. This code will give students access to purchase tickets on April 8.

Each student can purchase up to two general admission tickets for $25 each. Costello said the donor of the event wanted to give SDSU students the chance to have two tickets, the only catch was they have to use their student ID to claim their tickets.

You can’t order your tickets and give them to two buddies,” Costello said.

Students can buy one ticket for themselves and one for a guest. The guest does not have to be an SDSU student.

A small portion of the 8,000 tickets will be set-aside for incoming students, which includes freshmen and transfer students. This pre-sale will open after orientation sometime after July, Costello said.

“The donor felt very strongly to protect students in a big way; granting access and holding 8,000 tickets, which is a third of the building,” he said. “He wanted this to be for SDSU people. They are a part of this community.”

There are 19,000 seats in the Dykhouse Stadium, but there will be more than that since the concert will utilize the field.

The only time students will need their student ID is to claim their ticket.

Once students purchase their ticket, they will receive a confirmation email with an order number. It will also give them more details about the event.

Once the fall semester begins, students who purchased tickets will receive another email reminding them of the upcoming event.

Costello doesn’t believe all of the tickets will sell out all in one day, but he cautions students to just be ready to buy them as soon as they can.

“Make sure you’re up and on your computer at 8 o’clock. It’s all set up through a third party company,” Costello said. “It should be a really quick and easy process.”

Season Ticket Holders

Season ticket holders can purchase their ticket on April 15 at 8 a.m. for $50. They will receive an email with further details on April 11.

Costello said there will be a reserved section in the left grandstands for season ticket holders. They will allocate those based on priority points. Suite holder will have to purchase an individual ticket, but will have access to their suite.

General Public

The general public will be able to purchase tickets on Friday, April 29. Only a limited number of tickets will be available, starting at $75.
