Two Jacks football players suspended

Two South Dakota State football players were suspended for the first six games of the season Tuesday. Junior safety Makiah Slade and junior offensive lineman Matt Clark were suspended after violating team rules.
There is no further information at this time. Slade had 38 tackles last season and two interceptions. Clark started all 13 games for the Jacks last season.
Slade and Clark will be allowed to return to the field Oct. 21 on the road against Missouri State. SDSU will kick off the season at 7 p.m. Aug. 31, at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium against Duquense.
