The South Dakota State women’s golf team achieved their 12th tournament win in program history.

For the Jacks, they won by 28 strokes at the University of Nebraska-Omaha Invitational on Saturday.

The Jacks were led by junior Teresa Toscano, who won the individual title. Toscano shot even with 216 strokes and carded an eagle and 10 birdies.

Toscano wasn’t the only contributor for the Jacks.

Sydney Bormann, a sophomore, finished in second place and shot 222 strokes. In her first appearance at a college tournament, freshman Maria Seeman finished fourth and shot 226 strokes.

Rounding out the top scorers for the Jacks were sophomore Cassidy Laidlaw and freshman Lani Potter.

It was the first time since March 17, 2017 that the Jackrabbits won a team title.
