Dairy Queen is getting a makeover.

The Dairy Queen on 22nd Ave. is closing beginning Tuesday as it undergoes construction for a new building at the same location until sometime in December.

The building will be demolished Thursday. The store may open sometime before Christmas, Dairy Queen District Operations Supervisor Irene Zinniel told the Brookings Register.

Bailey Cords, an employee at Dairy Queen said in July he is “very excited to serve the Brookings community in such an awesome new building.”
