South Dakota State basketball will appear on national television three times this upcoming season, the Summit League and CBS Sports announced Monday.
The broadcaster revealed its lineup of Summit League men’s and women’s basketball games that will appear on CBS Sports Network throughout the 2024-25 season.
The SDSU women’s basketball team will be featured in one game on the network, hosting nationally ranked Texas, which made an appearance in the Women’s Final Four last year. The Jackrabbits and Longhorns will face off at 1 p.m. on CBS Sports Network, an hour earlier than originally scheduled.
The other two appearances will feature the Jackrabbit men’s team in back-to-back games in early February. SDSU will host St. Thomas, which was voted the Summit League preseason favorite earlier this month, on Feb. 4 at 6 p.m., followed by a matchup with in-state rival the University of South Dakota on Feb. 7 at 5 p.m.
Games featuring Jackrabbit teams make up one-third of the nine matchups that will be shown league-wide, tied with North Dakota State. NDSU and SDSU will be the only two Summit League women’s teams featured.

Along with the nine regular-season matchups, CBS Sports Network will also televise the men’s Summit League tournament semifinals and both the women’s and men’s title games. The men’s semifinals will be at 7 and 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, while the championship games will be at 3 and 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 9.
These games are part of a media rights deal signed between the Summit League and CBS Sports in 2023 that runs through 2026. The initial deal also coincided with the announcement of the Summit League Network, a direct-to-consumer digital network through Midco Sports.
