The Office of Academic Affairs announced classes will not be held Friday, April 2 or Monday, April 5 for Easter recess, according to an email sent to all students and staff on Wednesday.

This decision comes after Gov. Kristi Noem authorized administrative leave for employees of the South Dakota Board of Regents.

The residence halls will remain open over break, and Larson Commons, Starbucks and the Hansen C-Store will continue to provide food services. Panda Express, Einstein Bros. Bagels and Extreme Pita will have limited hours April 5. All food services will operate as normal Thursday, April 1 and Tuesday, April 6.

The Student Union will be closed from Friday to Sunday and will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday. The Student Health and Counseling Clinic also will be closed Friday-Monday. The Wellness Center will be open during regular hours Friday, 7 a.m.- 1 p.m., closed on Sunday and open from 8 a.m.- 10 p.m. Monday.

Hours of other attractions and buildings that will be open during break can be found on the campus attractions webpage on sdstate.edu.
