Rapid City resident wins jackpot

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) — A Powerball ticket sold in Rapid City is worth $10,004 in the latest drawing.
South Dakota lottery officials say the ticket matched four of five white ball numbers and the Powerball in the Saturday drawing to win the game’s $10,000 third prize. The ticket buyer also won another $4 on another play line.
The odds of winning $10,000 playing Powerball are 1 in about 649,000. The winner has about six months to claim the prize.
Powerball is played in 43 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The jackpot for the Wednesday drawing is $400 million.
