On Wednesday, Oct. 3, the 2018-19 women’s basketball Summit League preseason poll was announced with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits being selected as the top seed.
SDSU received 624 points and 24 first-place points, while the University of South Dakota earned nine first-place votes and 557 points.
Senior guard Macy Miller, who is coming off of a 2017-18 season where she averaged a career-best 18.3 points per game was selected as the Preseason Summit League Player of the Year.
Miller was also selected to the All-Summit League First Team.
Madison Guebert, a senior guard who averaged 15 points per game last year, was also selected to the Preseason All-Summit
League First Team. For the Jacks, sophomores Myah Selland and Tagyn Larson were nominated to the All-Summit League Second Team.
