Jacks Bash is back for its third edition, featuring country music stars Blake Shelton and Thomas Rhett.
The Aug. 28 show at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium will also include Ty Myers and DJ Blake Horstmann.
“Jacks Bash 3 will be an incredible event to kick off another highly anticipated year for South Dakota State athletics,” SDSU Athletic Director Justin Sell said in a statement. “We are excited to bring Jackrabbits home to celebrate our university and larger community with a night together at Dana J. Dykhouse Stadium.”

Shelton has been performing country music for more than 20 years, earning 29 No. 1 singles, with 52 million singles and 13 million albums sold, amassing nearly 11 billion global streams.
He has received numerous awards, including six ACM Awards, three American Music Awards, 10 CMA Awards, 11 CMT Music Awards and six People’s Choice Awards.
Rhett has accumulated 23 No. 1 singles and 16 billion streams in just over 10 years. His awards include eight ACM Awards, including the 2020 Entertainer of the Year, two CMA Awards and five Grammy Award nominations.
Myers of Austin, Texas, broke onto the scene in 2023 with his debut single “Tie That Binds,” generating over 11 million Spotify streams. He followed up with “Drinkin’ Alone,” which has gained over 26 million streams on Spotify.
Horstmann, who gained notoriety as a contestant on “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor in Paradise,” entered the music industry DJ’ing a fellow “Bachelor” alumni’s event. Since 2019, the Denver native has played clubs in Los Angeles and New York City.
