South Dakota State softball lost the first game of a doubleheader April 12 against North Dakota State 9-2, but bounced back with an 11-3 victory in the second game.
Senior catcher Brittney Morse had three hits in six plate appearances during the games. Two of those hits were home runs and she had four runs batted in. For this performance, Morse is The Collegian Athlete of the Week.
Up next, SDSU will travel to Fort Wayne, Indiana, for a three-game series with the Fort Wayne Mastodons. The first game will begin at 10 a.m. April 21.
