Board of Regents schools to close April 10-13
February 26, 2020
In a Feb. 26 email to South Dakota State University faculty and staff, the Office of the President announced all South Dakota Board of Regents campuses, including SDSU, will be closed Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 13.
According to the email, Gov. Kristi Noem has granted administrative leave for all state employees on April 10 and allows for eight hours of leave on April 13.
Only essential personnel are required to work on these days, which means SDSU will not hold classes either day.
In the past, the university only closed on the Friday before Easter.
Residence halls will remain open during this time. Larson Commons, Starbucks and Hansen C-Store will provide food on campus. The Wellness Center will also remain open over the four day weekend.
