The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Brookings County.

According to the NWS, 2-4 inches of snow accumulation is expected in portions of east-central South Dakota and southwest Minnesota.

The advisory is scheduled to last from 5 p.m. today to 6 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6.

Other counties affected by the advisory in Minnesota: Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Cottonwood, Jackson and Pipestone.
