That’s according to the Rabbit Report, which is sent to every South Dakota State University student. 

“Due to a change in the recycling industry, plastic bags are not recyclable. This includes using a plastic bag to collect and throw recyclables into the dumpsters. When you take your recyclables to the dumpster, please toss the items directly into the bin,” the report read.
