Should The US Attack Iraq?
February 26, 2003
War is not the best answer but sometimes, it is necessary. Sadam is not a leader. He is a terror. Most of the people in his country that would oppose him are dead or can’t. We had better disarm him before more are dead. Anyone remember Adolf Hitler? What he did while the world sued for peace was madness. Time is critical here. The United Nations must enforce it’s ordered disarmament of Iraq. Failing this, the United States of America will. How long must the world community wait? We know that the Iraqi’s have weapons of mass destruction and they know that we know. Still, they drag their feet. The longer we wait for implimentation of that UN order, the more time Iraq has to hide away their armaments where the UN weapons inspectors can’t or won’t find them.
In addition to this, there are the issues of morality and human rights involed with the Iraqi government and the way it treats it’s nation’s people. In my opinion, for far too long Sadam and his yes men have trampled on their citizens like children step on so many ants. They simply take what they want with little regard for anyone or anything else. The moral fiber and apparent intent of this regime is monstrous. Should the world give them more time for this? It seems to me, to allow this to continue, flies in the face of God’s will. We must stop them and their evil ways and in doing so we can remember the words of President John F. Kennedy’s inaugural address, ” here on earth, God’s work must truely be our own”.
