SDSU: It’s a lot more than cows and sheep
August 21, 2003
Todd Vanderwerff
Sometime in your first year of college, you’re going to tell someone that you attend SDSU and they’re going to derisively refer to it as “Moo-U.”
Don’t put up with this.
While it’s true that we have a great agriculture program and a number of cows (if you live in Berg Hall, they’ll be your neighbors!), simply reducing us to the Moo-U stereotype ignores the fact that this is the most forward-thinking educational institution in this state.
We’ve got researchers who regularly break new ground in scientific and agricultural arenas.
We’ve got top-notch nursing and pharmacy programs.
We’ve got culture and art.
We’ve got an engineering program that ranks with the best in the country.
So don’t let anyone from that “other” college (ahem) tell you that your college is somehow inferior. Let them know what we’re all about.
SDSU will let you have the four (or five) (or six) best years of your life if you let it. Don’t let anyone else cut in to your fun.
