Love will be in the air this week in South Dakota State University’s residence halls.
Starting Tuesday and continuing through Thursday, Mathews Hall government will be selling carnations and cans of Crush soda for Valentine’s Day.
“We just kind of wanted to do something fun for Valentine’s Day,” Line Stevens, Mathews Hall government president, said.
From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, students will be able to buy Valentine’s Day gifts in Mathews Hall lobby. The gifts will be delivered to students living on campus on Friday.
Carnations are one for $2. The more carnations the student buys, the more the price will decrease, Stevens said. The red carnation is for love, the pink for a secret admirer and the white for friends.
Cans of Crush soda will also be sold at $1 per can.
The money raised will go to the Mathews Hall government.
