The SDSU riot that happened nearly three weeks ago still lives on today.

The riot continues in the courtroom as 20-year-old Braden Anderson fights SDSU against two felonies and two misdemeanors.

On Monday, Oct. 3, Anderson was arrested for allegedly being a leader in the riot. While many students still say that he was actually trying to settle the crowd by yelling through a orange construction cone, the police saw him as an addition to the damage on campus.

Anderson is being charged with inciting or soliciting violence in a riot, intentional damage to property and resisting arrest. One of the felonies Anderson is being charged with carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

As of now, Anderson is able to go to campus, but must leave as soon as he is done with his classes. He is not allowed to stay in his dorm room, and is currently staying at an undisclosed location in Brookings.

Students are going crazy about Anderson’s situation on Facebook.com, the social networking Web site craze on campus. Several students were also selling T-shirts marked with “Free Braden” for $15. The students claimed that proceeds would go to helping Anderson out.
