The home basketball season gets underway Thursday, Nov. 16, with the men facing the University of Idaho.
Tip-off is at 7 p.m. in Frost Arena.
Idaho comes to Brookings toting a 0-1 record. The Vandals lost to North Dakota State University, 91-76, in their season opener. Idaho is a member of the Western Athletic Conference, home to No. 23 Nevada.
The following night, Friday, Nov. 17, the women’s basketball team begins its home season when they face one of their toughest opponents of the season, No. 20 University of Southern California. Last season, USC finished with a 19-12 record and fourth in the Pac 10. The game begins at 7 p.m.
The women have another home game on Sunday, Nov. 19. The Lady Jacks invite Southwest Minnesota State to Frost Arena. Tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Friday night’s match-up will feature free t-shirts, and Coke will provide inflatable games for fans to play before the game.
At all three games, another name will be drawn in the Burger King Kash Kontest. So far, three SDSU students have won about $500 total from the contest. All SDSU students are eligible. During the game, a student’s name is selected. That student has five minutes to report to the promotions table to claim his or her prize.
