Paris Hilton just does not understand

Paris Hilton’s My New BFF is the latest “reality” TV show in Paris Hilton’s resume. I know she is super busy with her partying, vacationing with her “rocker” boyfriend, making (terrible) movies, shopping and posing for pictures.
Even with this jam packed schedule, she recently took time to do an interview with Bret Federigan of MSN TV about the new show. (Man, I can’t imagine how she found the time to do this interview).
The new show has 18 contestants perform challenges to see who really wants to be Paris’ friend the most. Just imagine how hard it must be to hang out with Paris and do challenges like: jet-setting or “staying up for 24 hours partying.”
In the interview, Paris talks about how much fun she had filming and getting to know everyone. She loved the experience so much the only word she could use to describe it was: fun.
Paris then goes into how her life as a highly publicized celebrity is actually hard.
“Sometimes the media make up stories. But I’m a strong person and a good person with a big heart. I’m shy. I don’t know.”
One word really does not seem to fit. When has she been shy? Maybe shy is a code word for skanky. I don’t know if people remember, but Paris is the girl who wears underwear as outerwear. She is the girl on the red carpet who shows way too much skin and has flashed her private area to the public. She is also the girl who made a sex video. Maybe it’s just me, but I think that type of video declassifies you as being shy.
Paris also said the biggest misconception about her is “Certain people think that I’m not smart or maybe that I’m spoiled.”
I would have to agree with her on this one. She is not spoiled. It is not her fault that her grandfather, Barron Hilton, is the Hilton Hotel chairman (and her great-grandfather is the founder) who is worth $2.3 billion. It is not her fault that she can afford to go on vacation for a week in South Africa and not have to worry about her “job.” Most importantly, she is not spoiled because she gets paid for doing nothing and making terrible movies and TV shows.
My favorite part of the interview is when Paris starts talking about her favorite TV shows. “Paris Hilton’s My New BFF. Uh, I don’t really watch TV But I used to watch Lost. I love Family Guy. I actually just did an episode of that, and it’s coming out soon.”
A few other things she has been working on include her new record and movie. Just in case the interviewer or people reading the interview didn’t understand what she was talking about, Paris repeated that she “had a new CD/ record come out” five times in one answer.
I am pretty sure her first album didn’t do that well. Maybe this is because she didn’t get enough ad placements! Within the interview Paris did about 20 plugs for the projects she has been working on.
Yes, Paris needs more people to know about the “hard work” she does. People also need to stop letting her talk and just take her picture.
