At the end of the fiscal year, Robert T. Tad Perry, executive director for the Board of Regents, will retire after 15 years of service.

“I leave a system that is doing record level service in teaching and research ? a system that has raised record levels of non-public dollars for the support of the work at each of our institutions,” Perry said in a letter sent to Regents employees after the announcement on March 18.

The level of money raised during Perry’s time on the BOR reaches $500 million throughout the six universities, according to a BOR press release.

Some of Perry’s most prominent accomplishments include self-enrollment rising 194 percent with a 23 percent total enrollment increase. He has also strived to expand graduate and research programs, increase technology use on campuses and has kept tuition and fee increases below double-digit increases every year, according to the press release.

“This is the right time personally for me to move to the next stage of life, and it is the right time for the system to move to its next level,” Perry said.
