Prairie Repertory Theatre has been putting on shows in Eastern South Dakota for over 40 years. This year’s 39-member company dedicates its performances to family-friendly theater.

PRT kicks off its 41st season with Church Basement Ladies, a musical comedy focusing on four devoted Lutheran church volunteers. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, in Doner Auditorium on the campus of South Dakota State University.

Throughout the season PRT will perform this and three other shows, Arsenic and Old Lace, Almost, Maine and Crazy For You, in Brookings and Brandon.
