Johnny Holm Band plays today

For those of you who may not know, the Johnny Holm band is composed of six members who have performed for small towns and suburbs in most of the Midwest. The band plays cover songs from almost any genre from any era.

The band known as “The Human Jukebox” is popular for singing “Our Song” and has entertained audiences for years.  Amazingly, the band has been performing since the 1970s – almost four decades.

Johnny Holm, of course, started the band almost 30 years ago, playing solo. Eventually his solo act became the band many know and love today.

The band has been compared to a “family-feel” type of band. Their work ethic is admirable. Spending almost 100 nights on the road and in hotel rooms proves the band to be very devoted to entertainment on a smaller scale.

On Sept. 4, the Johnny Holm Band will be in Brookings at the Swiftel Center. Tickets for general admission seating are $9.00 and are available now at the Swiftel Center Box Office, or online. The band will perform from 9:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.
