Juice article about baseball movies

I must agree with Crystal Hohenthaner, that baseball movies combine the best of both worlds. However I have an important correction from the article. The movie Major League was not narrated by Bob Costas. Instead the play by play for the film was done by Hall of Fame announcer Bob Uecker. Now if you like baseball and Bob Uecker, for 15 bucks you can get MLB radio on your computer, and stream old baseball games. Uecker has been the play by play man for the Milwaukee Brewers for 34 years, and it is a true joy to listen their games. They become great in the middle innings when the games begin to lag, and he reports less what is going on in the game, and spends the time regailing stories from his days in the Majors. A member of the 1964 World Champion St. Louis Cardinals, he is a master story teller with a quick wit. He also wrote a funny book called “Catcher in the Wry.” So if you like Bob Uecker, give ’em a shot. He stole the show in the movie Major League, and is a fascinating part of baseball history.
