The men’s and women’s basketball teams each have two home games this week. The men host Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 2, and Indiana Purdue- Fort Wayne on Feb. 6. The women host Southwest Minnesota State on Feb. 1, and North Dakota State on Feb. 4.

The men’s team has a record of 5-14, after their loss to Utah Valley Sate. The women enter the homestand at 12-8 record and a two game winning streak. The women have a record of 6-1 at Frost Arena this year.

At all home basketball games, a new publication “The Rabbit Den Reader” is available for fans. The reader has rosters for both teams, as well as information about SDSU and the opposing school.

The SDSU promotions department is looking for students to become student leaders at basketball games in the student section. The student leaders would encourage participation and lead the students in cheers so everyone is in unison.

Daktronics is sponsoring a student fan of the game. The student fan of the game wins a cap, t-shirt and entry into a drawing for a $250 television.

Wednesday’s game is military appreciation night. Any current military personnel will receive free admittance to the game.

At the NDSU game, a Coke drinking contest will take place. Students wearing yellow will have the option of participating in the contest. In addition to the Coke-drinking contest, free balloon animals will be given away from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the upper east side of Frost Arena. At halftime of the NDSU game, basketball alumni will be honored.
