FACEOFF: Will the Steelers win the Super Bowl?

YES!

The Steelers are going to win, and it is not going to be close because of the Pittsburgh defense. The Steelers have a lockdown defense that is capable of shutting down the high-powered Cardinal offense. Larry Fitzgerald has had a great postseason, and, while the Eagles are a good defensive team, they are nowhere close to the Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger and Willie Parker will provide enough of an offensive spark against the Cardinals and put enough points on the board for the Steelers. If the offensive line can give Roethlisberger enough time, he should be able to pick on the Cardinals’ secondary. Also the biggest thing may be that the Steelers have been to the Super Bowl plenty of times before, while the Cardinals have not. The Cards will hang close for a half, but in the end, the Steelers will be too much and help Pittsburgh get their sixth Super Bowl Championship.

NO!

The Cardinals will win the Super Bowl because of Kurt Warner and Larry Fitzgerald. Warner tossed four touchdown passes, three to Fitzgerald in the first half, all on his way to throwing for 279 yards and no interceptions. The Cardinals defense, once considered not very good, held Philadelphia to six first half points in the NFC Championship game. They also came up with a crucial turnover on downs, with Philadelphia getting all the way to Arizona’s 47-yard line with under two minutes left in the game. The Arizona defense, especially safety Adrian Wilson, got constant pressure on Donavan McNabb sacking him twice. The Steelers defense is good, but I don’t think it will be able to contain Larry Fitzgerald for an entire game. The Cardinals like to put up points quick, building up a 24-6 halftime lead against the Eagles. If the Cardinals can make it a high-scoring game, then they will win.
