Zombies vs. Humans

It’s madness out there. It’s zombies vs. humans and there is no telling who will win.  So put those Zombieland skills to the test and join in the battle. Just don’t double-tap anyone. Its typically frowned upon.

The University Program Council and Hobo Day Committee have planned numerous activities for this year’s Hobo Week. The first event is Zombie Walk.

Zombie Walk will take place in Hill Crest Park located on the corner of Sixth Street and Seventeenth Avenue, and starts at 5:30 p.m. The Zombie Walk isn’t for students to dress up as zombies and wander around. This event is a capture-the-flag style game. Students who wish to be on “Team Zombie” must show up dressed to match. The remaining will be on “Team Human”.

The winning team will earn “Spirit points”. Spirit points are given to different student organizations and the group with the most points at the end of Hobo Week will earn bragging rights above all others.

“Because Halloween is the Monday of Hobo Week, UPC thought the zombie theme would tie in with that really well,” said Grand Pooba Briana Troske. “Hobo Week is going to be an amazing week filled with old SDSU traditions like No Shave, Miss Homelycoming, Cavorts and Bum-a-Meal. Students should get as involved as possible in order to make the most of Hobo Week.”

Following the Zombie Walk, UPC will be playing Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 in the Union Market at 8 pm.
